Dia van Staden is the founder, editor, and publisher of Koerania. She serves a dual role in Orania's community: as the town's Communications Officer for the Orania Town Council, and as the passionate journalist and storyteller who brings Koerania to life each month.
Through her signature column Koffie en Klets (Coffee and Chat), Dia shares personal reflections on Afrikaner life, faith, family, and community. Her essays are widely read and deeply loved: a warm conversation shared over a cup of coffee with thousands of readers every month.
Dia is also a familiar face at Orania's community events, often serving as MC at town gatherings and representing Orania's media voice to the wider world. Her dedication makes Koerania far more than a newspaper: it is a community institution.
