Experience the vibrant preservation of Afrikaner heritage through cultural holidays, sports, museums, and traditions that define Orania's unique identity.

"Take from the past everything that is good and noble, and build the future on it."– Paul Kruger, 1904
Afrikaner heritage is an integral part of our culture, and for this reason, Orania devotes much time, energy, and resources to the effective preservation of our heritage. We can gauge our future direction because we can orient ourselves with our past as an immovable fixed point.

Orania lives out a large part of our self-determination through celebrating our own cultural holidays. These celebrations are not merely days for pleasant rest from hard work, but symbolic acts that witness a message of independence and self-determination to the world.

Within Orania, and true to the Afrikaner's nature, sport is an important part of our lifestyle. Besides the local schools and their respective sport activities, there are also sport clubs and an active cycling culture.
Sports Complex: Our beautiful sports complex hosts athletics, rugby, netball, jukskei, and tennis facilities for community events and tournaments.

"Nature is what God creates, culture is the things that man brings about."
Culture is more than just the celebration of historical events or the erection of monuments - it forms part of it, but culture is fundamentally the unique way a community lives. Orania is a cultural community that strives to preserve, commemorate, live out, and expand Afrikaner culture.
