Since the establishment of Afrikaner self-determination in the North-West Cape, these three principles have been considered essential. Today, we can proudly say that Orania has strong, independent institutions. Together with our own land and labor, this has enabled us to achieve a high level of self-determination.

After seeing an advertisement in Landbouweekblad that the construction town Orania was for sale by the Department of Water Affairs, the Foundation successfully acquired the town through a tender process.
