Unveiled on October 10, 2025, to mark Paul Kruger's 200th birthday, this impressive 10-meter bronze statue stands in Orania's town center square. Over 2,000 people attended the unveiling ceremony. Paul Kruger (1825-1904) served as President of the Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek (Transvaal Republic) from 1883 to 1900 and remains one of the most significant figures in Afrikaner history. The statue, funded by R600,000+ raised by Afrikaner communities and the Solidarity Movement, is a replica of the famous Church Square statue in Pretoria. The Kruger statue joins the collection of historical monuments that have made Orania a repository for Afrikaner heritage artifacts relocated from various parts of South Africa since 1994.
